Gluten & Dairy Free Teriyaki Crock Pot Wings

Screen shot 2013 02 27 at 10.28.33 PM Gluten & Dairy Free Teriyaki Crock Pot Wings I was determined to stick to my healthy PCOS diet with delicious PCOS recipes for Super Bowl this year. Here is a discovery that I think you might enjoy!

Ensure wing ingredients are gluten-free. Ingredient lists often include ‘seasoning solution’ which is typically water and salt. Double check with the company to be sure.


Prep Time: 10 mins

Cook Time: 4-6 hrs

Yields: 6 servings


2 1/2 lb chicken wings, thawed, rinsed and drained
1/3 cup Tamari (GF soy sauce)
1 onion, thin sliced
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
2 tbs pure maple syrup
3/4 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp pepper
7 tsp minced garlic


Place chicken wings in bowl and pour 1/3 cup of Tamari over them. Marinate for as much time as you have available, even overnight. Then discard soy sauce.

I used a 4-quart round crockpot. Place onion slices on the bottom of the crockpot. Add olive oil, maple syrup, paprika, black pepper, and garlic. Toss all together to coat chicken wings. Pour into crockpot, on top of the onion.

Do not add water. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or on high for 4-6 hours.
