PCOS Diet Limey Jalapeno Hummus (Gluten & Dairy Free)

You’re going to love incorporating this spicy, fresh hummus into your PCOS diet, so dig in! You can adjust the heat by using more or less jalapenos.

Eating spicy foods is also a bonus for PCOS if you can handle it. There is much research that indicates that spicy foods increase metabolism, in turn revving up fat burning in your body. I think that sounds great!

Prep Time: 15 mins

Yields: 6 servings

Ingredients:

1 15-oz. can chilled chickpeas or garbanzo beans, drained, rinsed
1 lime, juiced
1 tbsp all-natural peanut butter
3 tbsp minced garlic
2 jalapenos, diced small
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
2 tbsp fresh cilantro leaves
Pinch of cumin, to taste
Red pepper flakes, to taste
Pinch of sea salt, to taste

Directions:

Combine all of the ingredients in a food processor until smooth. Enjoy with fresh veggies or gluten-free tortilla chips.
